The wait for the next installment of the American Horror Story franchise will be over this September.

FX has announced that the ninth installment, titled AHS: 1984, will premiere on September 18th. The confirmation of the anthology’s return follows the latest (but definitely not recent) news of the series title confirmed by creator Ryan Murphy back in April.

Back then he also dropped a short teaser with a vintage ’80s horror/slasher vibe.

Except these bits of information, production hasn’t released nor confirmed any other details. Executive producer Tim Minear did say, however, that the upcoming installment is a treat for fans of ‘80s horror.

“I will tell you nothing, except that I think it’s awesome,” he said. “I think it’s gonna be really scary but a lot of fun, like it always is. And that if you have a taste for ’80s horror, you’re in for a treat.”

Alum Emma Roberts will return for AHS: 1984.
