Amazon Studios is living up to its Sundance reputation as the festival’s most active buyer.

After closing deals for Late Night, The Report, Brittany Runs a Marathon, Honey Boy, and One Child Nation at the recently concluded Sundance Film Festival, Amazon Studios has landed the US rights for Against All Enemies straight out of the Berlin Film Festival.

The Hollywood Reporter has closed a deal for Benedict Andrews’ independent political thriller starring Kirsten Stewart.

Inspire by real events, Stewart stars as Jean Seberg, French New Wave darling and star fo Saint Joan, Bonjour Tristesse, Breathless, and The Mouse That Roared among others. The film follows the FBI’s attempts to take Seberg down because of her romantic involvement with civil rights activist Hakim Jamal, played by Anthony Mackie and her support of the Black Panther Party.

The film also stars Jack O’Connell, Colm Meaney, Margaret Qualley, Vince Vaughn, Zazie Beetz, Stephen Root and Yvan Attal.

Against All Enemies is currently in post-production.
