The second installment of Dirty John has found its leads.

Multiple outlets confirm that Amanda Peet and Christian Slater are set to take over the leads roles from Connie Briton and Eric Bana who starred in Dirty John’s previous season.

The second season of the true-crime anthology subtitled The Betty Broderick Story will chronicle an infamous and deadly divorce case.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Peet will play a Southern California wife who murders her husband, played by Slater and his mistress-turned-wife in 1989.

“The first season of Dirty John was a story of twisted love and coercive control — and both these insidious elements are also present in and integral to the story of Betty Broderick, whom I have wanted to write about since I became a writer,” said series creator Alexandra Cunningham in a statement. “I can’t wait to see Amanda and Christian bring it to life.”

Back in May it was announced that Dirty John was making the move from its original Bravo home to USA Network.
