Many exciting new shows are coming to Netflix this fall, but none of them is creating more buzz than Wednesday. The streaming giant teased its release with a brand-new trailer, which gave us even more details about this spooky series that takes us back to the world of the Addams family.

Cast and Crew

Tim Burton co-created Wednesday alongside Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who serve as showrunners. Jenna Ortega plays the titular role, while the rest of the cast includes Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, and Isaac Ordonez as Morticia, Gomez, and Pugsley Addams. The new trailer features appearances from Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester, Gwendoline Christie as principal Larissa Weems, and Christina Ricci as the original character Marilyn Thornhill.

Wednesday’s Teenage Years

Nevermore Academy serves as the setting for this spooky series, set to chronicle Wednesday’s high school years. As expected, she’s not dealing with your usual teenage problems since she’s too busy trying to master her psychic ability, solve a killing spree in a local town, and get to the bottom of a 25-years-old murder mystery involving her parents.

Release Date

We were hoping Wednesday is coming our way just in time for Halloween, but we’ll have to wait until November 23 for its premiere. The first season will feature eight episodes, and we’re yet to see if Netflix will renew it for additional seasons.
