Conclave came into this year’s BAFTA Awards with a whopping 12 nominations—and it lived up to the hype! The Papal thriller was crowned the biggest winner of the night in London on Sunday after walking away with four trophies, including best film and outstanding British film.

Conclave managed to win four out of the 12 awards it was nominated for, including the ceremony’s most coveted prize. It was announced as the winner of the best film award at the end of the night, defeating Anora, The Brutalist, A Complete Unknown, and Emilia Pérez.

Conclave also faced tough competition in Bird, Blitz, Gladiator II, Hard Truths, and Kneecap in the race for the outstanding British film, but managed to defeat them all. It collected two additional awards outside the main categories – best adapted screenplay (Peter Straughan) and best editing (Nick Emerson).

The Brutalist was right behind with four awards, most notably the best actor in the leading role for Adrien Brody. Mikey Madison (Anora), Kieran Culkin (A Real Pain), and Zoe Saldaña (Emilia Pérez) joined him as winners in the acting field, collecting BAFTAs for their respective performances.

The 2025 BAFTA Awards returned to the Royal Festival Hall in London on February 16, with David Tennant serving as a host.
