Wesley Snipes joins Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall in the Coming to America sequel.
Paramount’s sequel to the hit 1988 comedy is directed by Craig Brewer.
While Murphy and Hall will reprise their lead roles from the original film, according to Entertainment Weekly, Snipes will play a new character named General Izzi, who rules a neighboring country to Zamunda, homeland of Murphy’s Prince Akeem.
In the sequel, Akeem discovers he has a son he never knew about in America – a Queens native named Lavelle. Honoring his father’s dying wish Akeem sets off to America to meet the unlikely heir.
Coming 2 America is set to hit theaters December 18, 2020.
