We can count on Rian Johnson to round out an impressive ensemble cast for each Knives Out movie, and he’s done it again! Several A-list stars recently joined Daniel Craig in Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, including Josh Brolin and Jeremy Renner.
Netflix officially confirmed that the third Knives Out film is on the way by posting a short teaser on their social media channels on May 24. They dropped some more exciting news about this project this past week, sharing one casting announcement after another.
Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla) and Josh O’Connor (Challengers) were the first stars to officially join this project, and they’ll be in some pretty good company. Kerry Washington (Scandal), Mila Kunis (Bad Moms), Jeremy Renner (Avengers franchise), Daryl McCormack (Good Luck to You, Leo Grande), and Glenn Close (Dangerous Liaisons) were also added to the A-list ensemble, along with the most recent addition, Josh Brolin (Dune franchise).
Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery will premiere in 2025, but it still doesn’t have an official release date. Plot details are being kept under wraps, but we’ll most likely get to see the quirky detective Benoit Blanc solve another murder mystery involving a group of colorful characters.
