The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season finale will be a “choose-your-own-adventure” episode.
Last year, Black Mirror made TV history when they created the first “choose-your-own-adventure” style episode for Netflix. The episode was called “Bandersnatch” and allowed viewers to choose the protagonist’s choices, leading them down whatever dark and twisted path they chose.
Since then, Netflix have revealed that they will be creating more shows of this nature. They recently released “You Vs. The Wild” and now, it has been announced that Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt will be giving the choose-your-own-adventure format a go.
The creator of the series Tina Fey shared: “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was one of the first original comedy series on Netflix, and now it will be its first interactive comedy event.
“Fans will be able to make choices on behalf of our characters, taking different story paths with, of course, different jokes.”
The season finale is schedule for a 2020 release.
