Top 10 Robots from Sci-fi TV and Movies

Warwick Davis, Sam Rockwell, Yasiin Bey, and Martin Freeman in "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"

In sci-fi movies, robots are either trying to take over the world or are being so darn cute that we can’t help but fall in love with them, even if it’s against our best interest. Robots aren’t supposed to feel emotion but these ten robots deserve credit for their fantastic personalities.

Marvin the Paranoid Android (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy)

Marvin the Paranoid Android is one of the best characters in the film. Radiohead must have thought so too, because they wrote one of their biggest hits about him.

Nexus-6 Pris (Blade Runner)

The blond and gothy Pris from Scott Ridley’s original Blade Runner is cool, badass and well, lethal.

Ultron (Avengers: Age of Ultron)

The deadly robot Ultron in the Marvel Cinematic Universe makes quite the villain.

Bender (Futurama)

Bender has a terrible attitude, but he is hilarious, so we’ll let him on the list.

Wall-E (Wall-E)

Wall-E has got to be the most lovable robot (who doesn’t really say anything) of all time. And he saved the human race, so that’s good too.

Terminator (Terminator)

Terminator is one of the most awesome looking robots we can think of.

Data (Star Trek)

Does Data feel love?

Bumblebee (Transformers)

The Transformers franchise went downhill pretty rapidly, but Bumblebee still remains one of our top bots.

R2-D2 and C3PO (Star Wars)

Well, obviously.

K-9 (Doctor Who)

The only thing in sci-fi better than a friendly robot, is a friendly robot dog.
