The first official trailer of Sonic the Hedgehog movie finally arrived.
Fans watched the highly anticipated trailer with some trepidation, not sure how live-action — animated hybrid will portray Sonic. Much to their delight they saw that his classic hallmarks are very much present, including his transformation into a blue ball with jolts of electricity.
According to Deadline, the film follows the “(mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound — human — best friend Tom Wachowski (Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination.”
The big-screen adaptation of the hit Sega video game stars Jim Carrey as nemesis Dr. Robotnik, along with James Marsden, Tika Sumpter Natasha Rothwell, Neal McDonough, Adam Pally and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic himself.
Sonic The Hedgehog hits theaters on November 15. Check out the trailer below.
