The Good Fight proved the world a good TV spin-off is actually possible, so it’s a delight to hear that we’ll get to enjoy it for a little bit longer. CBS just renewed this legal drama for its fourth season.

This hit series centers on Diane Lockhart, Christine Baranski’s character we met on the set of The Good Wife. This spin-off show kicks off one year after its finale and shows Lockhart finding a job at a new firm and starting from starch after losing her life savings.

Julie McNamara, executive vice president of original content at CBS All Access, was the one to break the news about the show’s renewal. She described The Good Fight as “flagship original series for the service” and said she feels optimistic about its future.

“Its visionary creators Robert and Michelle King and the extraordinary cast continue to explore the cultural climate with insight, humor and courage, and we can’t wait to see where these indelible characters go next,” explained McNamara in a press release.
