“The Batman” Trailer: The Riddler and Catwoman Have a Deadly Plan

Over the weekend at DC FanDome, the first trailer for Matt Reeves’ was released.

Set to Nirvana’s “Something in the Way,” the trailer focuses on the Riddler (Paul Dano) who’s leaving deadly hints for Robert Pattinson’s Batman and Jeffrey Wright’s Commissioner Gordon.

“The hell you suppose to be?” the leader of a white-painted face gang asks Batman in the trailer. “I’m vengeance,” Batman replies.

The Batman will start in “Year Two” where Batman, Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), the Riddler, and the Penguin (Collin Farrell) are in the early stages of their development. In the film, Batman will discover corruption in the city and how it’s connected to the Wayne family.

John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Jayme Lawson, and Andy Serkis will also star in the film.

During the panel, Reeves said that only 25% of the film is shot after they had to suspend production due to COVID-19. The Batman is set to start filming again in early September which pushes the film’s release from June to October 2021.
