Due to the ongoing Coronavirus, the final chapter of the NBC thriller, Blindspot, will premiere Thursday, April 30 and not over the summer as originally planned. 

Season five of Blindspot begins in the aftermath of the explosion that left Jane (Alexander) watching as a drone strike on the safe house with the rest of the team inside. Questions to be answered include who made it out alive and whether the team will ever be able to clear their names in the wake of Madeline’s (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) rise to power. 

Blindspot also stars Rob Brown, Audrey Esparza, Ashley Johnson and Ennis Esmer.

Multiple outlets confirm that Empire is cutting short its final season due to the Coronavirus virus. 

The sixth and final season of Empire was scheduled to run for 20 episodes, however, due to the production shutdown, only 18 episodes were completed, which means that episode 18 will now serve as the series finale. According to Deadline, producers are expected to weave some of the footage from episode 19 into the now series finale to “create a more seamless overall ending.” 

Empire stars Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard as the leads.

Multiple outlets confirm that the fantasy Syfy series will end with its current fifth season. The season finale set to air April 1 will now officially serve as series finale.

The Magicians was created by John McNamara and Sera Gamble based in Lev Grossman’s bestselling novels of the same name.

ABC has decided that season six of the family comedy will be its last. According to Deadline, the cancelation comes with little surprise as the ratings for the series haven’t been strong. 

Based on a memoir by Eddie Huan, and hailing from Nahnatchka Khan, FOTB followed the Huang family who move from Washington, D.C.’s Chinatown, to Orlando in the mid-1990s.

“We couldn’t be prouder of this game-changing show and the impact it has had on our cultural landscape,” Karey Burke, president, ABC Entertainment said.

“The success of Fresh Off the Boat has helped pave the way for inclusion throughout the industry. Nahnatchka Khan and her brilliant creative team have created an unforgettable series with an Asian-American family front and center, something that hadn’t been done in two decades. The cast, led by Randall Park and Constance Wu, is one of the finest and funniest on television. We’ll miss the Huang family and are eternally grateful for the incredibly heartfelt stories they have told these past six seasons.”

She also revealed that she’s definitely up to reunion the Pfeffermans played by Judith Light and her on-screen children played by Gaby Hoffman, Amy Landecker, and Jay Duplass.

“I would love to do a sequel, a tri-quel, a Pfefferman family cruise for the Jewish high holidays, whatever! I’ll do anything.”

The CW confirms that season 7 of The 100 will be its last. The news was announced by network President, Mark Pedowitz at the TCA summer press tour. 

Series creator Jason Rothenberg also confirmed the news, writing on social media: “With #The100 Season 6 finale just days away, I have some bittersweet news to share: Season 7 will be our last. We are eternally grateful to WB & CW for always allowing us to tell our story the way we want to & to wrap the show on our terms. What an incredible ride this has been!”

“We’ve been very good at listening to our showrunner creators about the right time to end our series,” Pedowitz added.

FX has confirmed Wednesday that the Zach Galifianakis-led comedy will end with its current fourth season.

The series followed Galifianakis’ Chip on his journey to becoming a professional clown. Louie Anderson starred as Chip’s doting mother, Christine. Martha Kelly and Alex Morris also starred.

Multiple outlets reports that The Goof Place will end after its fourth season. News of the cancelation was announced Friday night at the Television Academy by series creator and exec producer Michael Schur. 

“After The Good Place was picked up for season two, the writing staff and I began to map out, as best we could, the trajectory of the show,” Schur said in a statement.

“Given the ideas we wanted to explore, and the pace at which we wanted to present those ideas, I began to feel like four seasons—just over 50 episodes—was the right lifespan. At times over the past few years we’ve been tempted to go beyond four seasons, but mostly because making this show is a rare, creatively fulfilling joy, and at the end of the day, we don’t want to tread water just because the water is so warm and pleasant. As such, the upcoming fourth season will be our last.”

The critically acclaimed series stars Kristen Bell and Ted Danson and follows s a group of humans in the afterlife. D’Arcy Carden, Manny Jacinto, William Jackson Harper and Jameela Jamil also star. 

The Good Place returns for its fourth and now final season this fall.

Ever since Jeffrey Tambor, who played the titular matriarch, exited the revolutionary Amazon series following allegations of sexual misconduct, fans have been wondering how series creator Jill Soloway would end the Pfefferman’s journey.

The final episode will follow the Pfefferman family — Shelly (Judith Light), Sarah (Amy Landecker), Josh (Jay Duplass), and Ali (Gaby Hoffmann) as they try to come to terms with their loss. 

Amazon’s official synopsis promises “a dazzling two-hour movie musical fantasia. When the Pfeffermans face a life-changing loss, they begin a journey hilarious and melancholy, brazen and bold.
