]]>Last year, Marvel director James Gunn was fired by Disney after a series of problematic tweets resurfaced. Fans signed a petition to bring them back and Guardian star Dave Bautista was particularly vocal about his resentment towards Disney for their decision to fire Gunn.
Last month, Disney made the decision to rehire the director and fans and cast members are delighted to learn that his original script will be being used. Among these excited fans is Karen Gillan, who plays Nebula in the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy.
“His personality, the tone of those movies, I can only describe as James’ personality,” she said. “It’s his sense of humor, his writing, his taste in music. These characters are extensions of him. It’s a really personal project for him.”
She added: “It definitely wouldn’t have been the same version of Guardians.”
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is pegged for a 2020 release date.

]]>During his appearance at Salt Lake City’s FanX convention, Rooker said that he would love to get back to this character in Guardians of the Galaxy 3.
“It depends on how much I got paid. Of course, I would totally love to do it again, it would be awesome,” the 63-year-old said.
Talking further about the topic, Michael Rooker offered some ideas on how Yondu could resurrect from the dead.
“No, I’m just saying. I’m not giving any hints right now. I’m just saying that Yondu has moved on… There’s this arrow and it flew off into space. It’s going somewhere right? I mean, right? Don’t you think? If it’s going it could, maybe, perhaps one day come back. Hint! That’s a hint, Marvel!” – he added.
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 director and writer James Gunn previously said that Yondu’s death is final and that the character won’t be back as long as he is the director. But, Gunn was recently fired from Guardians of the Galaxy 3, so everything is on the table right now. We know one thing; fans would welcome Yondu and his arrow with arms wide open.

]]>“I got a lot of texts saying ‘I can’t believe you’re dead, your character is dead,'” said Bautista. “They were really like heartbroken, and I was like ‘I’m gonna be in four. I’m gonna be in Guardians 3.’ I don’t know how they’re bringing me back, yeah but somehow I’m going to make it because, as far as I know, I am going to be in Guardians 3, so I have to be back.”
Bautista also revealed that he filmed all of his scenes for Avengers 4, but didn’t want to give out the way Drax the Destroyer will be brought back.
“That’s the only reason I’m not so concerned about giving any spoilers or giving anything away that Marvel would be mad because I said before, before the film even came out, that I’ve already filmed three and four, so I hope they won’t be pissed!” said the 49-year-old wrestler-turned-actor. “And if they are, I’m gonna get an earful. I don’t know how they’re gonna put this all together. I don’t know how its gonna pan out and how it’s all going to turn out.”

Drax the Destroyer will likely be joined by other high profile Marvel superheroes in finding the way back from the dead in Avengers 4. There have been many speculations and theories on the internet which include a parallel universe, the Soul Stone, and even time travel, but no one exactly knows. The chances are that we won’t find out before Avengers 4 premieres on May 3rd, 2019.
