Since Avengers: Infinity War smashed the box office, everyone has been dying to find out what will happen in part two after that end twist. Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo has revealed on The Marvelist that filming for the movie is nearly over.

“We’re doing reshoots starting in September, and then we’ll go back into the international tour, we’ll go on tour,” he explained.

“Then you guys will get the second installment. Which we don’t even know what it’s gonna be yet. We’re not just doing reshoots. We’re going to finish the movie, which we really didn’t get to finish totally when we left it last year.”

He also revealed that he has no idea how the movie will end and isn’t sure if the Russo brother knows either! The cast has been reading ‘dummy’ scripts to ensure the ending is kept top secret.

“I don’t even know that they really know exactly,” he said. “Some of it is happening while we’re there. It’s pretty amazing. And we’ll shoot some stuff and a few days later come back and reshoot it ’cause we wanna take it in another direction. It’s a very living organism; even as we approach it being a locked picture, we’re still working on it.”

The fourth and final installment of The Avengers is due for release April 26th, 2019.

If you caught Avengers: Infinity War earlier this year, then you probably have a whole bunch of questions regarding what went down and what will happen next. One question that has been coming up in particular is how Thanos knows so much about Iron Man/Tony Stark, considering the fact they’ve never met.

In the commentary track released with the movie’s digital download, the Russo brothers and screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have offered something of an answer to this question. They all pointed towards the idea that Thanos respects Iron Man due to parallels between the pair.

“He’s aware of Stark from the original Battle of New York as the person who undid the plan,” Joe Russo said.

“It’s interesting because, as Thanos moves forward from this moment, once he disposes of his armor, he almost becomes a holy warrior where he doesn’t spend a lot of his energy intentionally trying to murder people unless they are, in some way, a threat to his agenda.

“Almost no-one ends up being a threat to the agenda except for Tony, who I think he feels has a sort of existential connection to Thanos.”

Hulk has always been one of the Avengers’ greatest weapons. While Bruce Banner is more of a thinker than a fighter, Hulk has always appeared just in time to save the day.

In Avengers: Infinity War, however, Hulk failed to appear on numerous occasions when it counted most. He outright refused to emerge and fight when Bruce commanded him to, most notably at the ending of the movie in the final face-off with Thanos.

In the digital release of the movie, Russo gives us some insight into why Hulk appears to be on strike from the Avengers.

“This was an interesting journey we went on with Banner, trying to decide how we move him forward in the Marvel Universe. What makes him unique as a character is that there is a host body that is being fought over by two distinct personalities who hate each other. And both want control of the host body,” he explains.

“So we thought an interesting direction to take him in is what if Banner, who typically uses the Hulk to solve crisis situations, what if the Hulk were no longer interested in solving those problems for Banner? So that the relationship is becoming increasingly dysfunctional. That’s what’s going on here,” Russo goes on to say.

“People have speculated whether there was some fear on the Hulk’s part about having to face Thanos again. But I think ultimately what it is, is that he’s tired of playing hero to Bruce Banner.”

Hopefully Hulk and Bruce will resolve their issues in Avengers: Infinity War Part II.

Olsen told Paul Bettany at ACE Comic Con that none of the cast knew how the film was going to end right up until their death scenes. No one knew if their character was going to survive or whether they would be in part two.

“I found out from the Russos exactly what was going to happen, and it wasn’t until we shot it on that day we learned what the ending was,” Olsen revealed.

“They took us into a van – all of us – we were in a van with air conditioning because it was very hot, and they told us how the movie was going to end and no one knew.

“And they were like, ‘Now we’re shooting it, go!’ and we were like, ‘How are we supposed to interpret that?'”

On top of not knowing the fate of their characters, the cast were not allowed to take a copy of the script home. Apparently, they had to read the script in a room with no windows and were required to leave their phones at the door.

“We couldn’t take our time at home or anything like that – they wouldn’t give us a hard copy,” Olsen said.

“I just got my pages and even my pages had a fake ending and multiple fake things in it.”

The emotional, brutally honest drama was nominated for seven Oscars and is currently rated an impressive 92% on Rotten Tomatoes.

A Quiet Place

It is a new shade of horror, taking the action outside of the haunted house and into a post-apocalyptic world. It makes silence sound terrifying.

Hereditary

It was dubbed as this generation’s exorcist and for good reason. Throw away the horror cliche handbook and expect a gripping and thrilling psychological horror show.

Lady Bird

A heartfelt and uplifting coming of age movie with a unique flavour.

The Death of Stalin

A satirical comedy of an entirely different species to Deadpool 2, but really quite brilliant.

Annihilation

A surreal and unsettling sci-fi horror which intrigues you both visually and psychologically.

The most ridiculous and hilarious movie of the year so far.

Black Panther

We’re still emotionally recovering from the end of Infinity War, when Thanos snaps his fingers and wipes out half of the universe. Some of our favorite Avengers, including Groot, Spider-Man, Black Panther and Doctor Strange, were reduced to dust as a result.

Benedict Cumberbatch, aka Doctor Strange, however, seems to think that his character will be back. When asked about his future in the role by Deadline, Cumberbatch said:

“Oh, Strange? Just try to stop me. That’s all kind of lined up as far as I’m aware, but who knows?

“I mean, you know, the problem is, how does he get out of where he’s at. But that’s the only thing. I’m bits of dust at the moment as far as I understand. So you really have to ask [Marvel Studios president] Kevin Feige.

“But as far as wanting to do it, yeah, I would love to go back into that role.”

Not only this, but in the movie, Doctor Strange uses the Time Stone to review all possible outcomes in the fight and reveals there is only 1 outcome out of 14 million where they win.

Despite saying at the start of the movie that he would sacrifice any of the team to protect the stone, Doctor Strange seems to give it up pretty easily to Thanos to save Iron Man. This leads us to assume that in the outcome where the Avengers win, Thanos gets all the stones.

Before he disappears he says to Iron Man: “There was no other way.”

Hopefully this means that the snap will be undone. But as Cumberbatch says, we’d have to ask Kevin Feige… or just begrudgingly wait.

In his final moments, Loki hands over the Tesserat to save his brother, then boldly tries to deceive Thanos before taking a swipe at him with a concealed dagger. Thanos sees through the ploy and Loki is killed less than ten minutes into the movie.

Heimdall

Thor’s best friend, Heimdall, is also murdered on Thor’s ship for opening the Asgardian gateway to save Hulk.

Gamora

Gamora’s death was one of the most tragic. She gives up the location of the soul stone to save her sister, then learns that she must be sacrificed so that Thanos can retrieve it. She even tries to kill herself first but Thanos does not let her succeed.

Vision

In a heartbreaking scene, Scarlet Witch realizes she must be the one to kill her lover, Vision, to save half the universe. In spite of her sacrifice, Thanos retrieves the stone anyway by using the time stone and kills Vision all over again, but this time for nothing.

Half of the Avengers: Black Panther, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Winter Solider, Scarlet Witch

When Thanos retrieves all six infinity stones, some of our favorite Avengers disintegrate into dust. Spider-Man’s death was particularly touching, as we witness not a hero, but Peter Parker the teenage boy, break into tears and admit he doesn’t want to die.

The Guardians of the Galaxy

Star-Lord, Drax, Mantis and even Groot all fade into dust. If they don’t get resurrected, it will only be Rocket left for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Nick Fury and Maria Hill

In an after-credit scene, the former agents of S.H.I.E.L.D disintegrate in a chaotic New York scene. Before he dies, however, Nick Fury manages to send a distress signal to Captain Marvel.

“I got a lot of texts saying ‘I can’t believe you’re dead, your character is dead,'” said Bautista. “They were really like heartbroken, and I was like ‘I’m gonna be in four. I’m gonna be in Guardians 3.’ I don’t know how they’re bringing me back, yeah but somehow I’m going to make it because, as far as I know, I am going to be in Guardians 3, so I have to be back.”

Bautista also revealed that he filmed all of his scenes for Avengers 4, but didn’t want to give out the way Drax the Destroyer will be brought back.

“That’s the only reason I’m not so concerned about giving any spoilers or giving anything away that Marvel would be mad because I said before, before the film even came out, that I’ve already filmed three and four, so I hope they won’t be pissed!” said the 49-year-old wrestler-turned-actor. “And if they are, I’m gonna get an earful. I don’t know how they’re gonna put this all together. I don’t know how its gonna pan out and how it’s all going to turn out.”

The Marvel feature follows on from Captain America: Civil War and will bring together the greatest amount of Marvel superheroes together to date. Star-Lord, teenage Groot and the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy will team together with the Avengers to fight Thanos, a supervillain who plans to collect all the infinity stones and wipe out half the universe.

The movie was released this week and has already opened internationally with a whopping $39 million.

In Korea, the movie had the top opening day of all time with $6.5 million. This was topped only in Australia, where it saw the strongest opening with $6.7 million.

Infinity War is seeing its debut in North America on Friday in over 4,470 theaters and is anticipated to launch at around a quarter of a million dollars. This would make it one of the biggest domestic debuts of all time. The question is whether the 19th Marvel installment will top Black Panther‘s record breaking $1.3 billion earnings worldwide.

So far, reviews have been overwhelmingly positive and it is rated 9.2/10 on IMDB.
