Dwayne Johnson’s action movie Red Notice has moved from Universal Pictures to Netflix, and tapped Ryan Reynold to the cast.

Reynolds will star opposite Johnson and Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot in the film from writer/director Rawson Marshall Thurber. The feature follows Interpol agent (Johnson) tasked with capturing the most-wanted art thief in the world.

“I’m beyond thrilled to be making Red Notice with Scott Stuber and Netflix — a company that believes in filmmakers and big ideas for a global audience,” Thruber said in a statement.

According to Deadline, it was one of the biggest film packages brokered last year, including a $20 million salary for Johnson and an eight-figure deal for Thurber, who directed Johnson in Central Intelligence and Skyscraper. But then the studio announced Monday that it’s vacating the previously announced Nov. 13, 2020, release date in favor of an untitled event film.

Red Notice is set to begin principal photography in 2020.
