“Punky Brewster” Sequel Is Heading to Peacock

The iconic pigtailed moppet is heading back to television after NBC Universal’s streaming service Peacock has greenlit a Punky Brewster sequel. 

Soleil Moon Frye returns to star as the titular character. 

The sequel series will follow a now all grown Punky as a single mother of three children trying to get her life back on track. She’ll meet a young foster girl named Izzy (Quinn Copeland), who reminds Punky of her younger self. 

Also starring is Freddie Prinze Jr. as Travis Punky’s ex-husband as well as Lauren Donzis, Oliver De Los Santos, and Noah Cottrell.

Season 1 will consist of 10 episodes.
