“Pulp Fiction” Becomes a Rom-Com in Comedy Central Promo

Uma Thurman in "Pulp Fiction"

You have probably never considered Pulp Fiction to be a romantic comedy, right? While this Quentin Tarantino masterpiece has its fair share of comedy and maybe even romance, it is still a bit too violent to be considered a rom-com.

Despite this, someone at Comedy Central UK decided to disguise Pulp Fiction as a movie similar to something like Love Actually in a new promo.

“This is the story about 15 people with very different lives,” says the voiceover while showing us the most important characters in Tarantino’s movie. “But one thing in common. Love.”

Just when you think this scam might work, the promo quickly cuts to the violent parts, which reveal the true nature of the movie before ending with a fitting message: “Fool someone you love into watching Pulp Fiction.”

Released in 1994, Pulp Fiction was both commercial and critical success and went on to be considered one of the greatest movies ever made. Directed by Quentin Tarantino, it tells several stories about characters involved in the crime scene of Los Angeles. The cast of the film featured several high profile actors including John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, Ving Rhames, and Uma Thurman.
