The latest to ink an exclusive deal with Netflix is The Crown creator, Peter Morgan.
Multiple outlets confirm that Morgan has inked a mega-deal with the streaming giant. The deal that includes both film and television projects is valued well into the eight figures. “The figure is beyond insane,” a source told Deadline of the deal.
The Golden Globe and BAFTA-winner is the latest producer who’s inked overall deals with the streamer. Others include Shonda Rhimes, Ryan Murphy, Kenya Barris, Jenji Kohan, Barack and Michelle Obama, among others.
In other recent deals that a streaming giant inked with major talent — Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge has signed a three year overall deal with Amazon. It’s reported that the deal is in the mid-eight figure range.
