HBO managed to create a lot of buzz for their upcoming series The Idol and they just shared one last piece of the puzzle. The new teaser trailer for the musical drama led by The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp is here, and it reveals the show’s highly-anticipated release date.

The Idol centers on a rising pop star Jocelyn, who hits rock bottom after her tour was canceled in the face of her nervous breakdown. Her life turns upside down after she meets a mysterious nightclub impresario Tedros, but will their relationship take her to glorious new heights or force her to sink into despair even further?

The Idol will answer these questions when it arrives at HBO on June 4, but this won’t be its grand premiere. The provocative musical drama will be screened out of competition at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival next month.

In addition to playing one of the lead roles, The Weeknd co-created The Idol alongside his longtime collaborator Reza Fahim and Euphoria’s Sam Levinson. The show’s supporting cast includes Suzanna Son, Troye Sivan, Moses Sumney, Jane Adams, Dan Levy, Jennie Kim, Eli Roth, Rachel Sennott, Hari Nef, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Mike Dean, and Hank Azaria.
