Netflix Renews “Dogs” Docuseries

Your four-legged friend could be the star of Netflix’s second season of Dogs.

That’s right! The streaming giant has put in a second season order for its docuseries, which celebrate the bonds between people and their beloved furry best friends. And since it isn’t in production yet, people all over the world can suggest their pups as future stars of the series.

The six-episode first season premiered on the service in November. It traveled to Syria, Japan, Costa Rica, Italy and the United States to meet six adorable pups.

Dogs was developed by Glen Zipper. Zipper also served as executive producer alongside Amy Berg.

“We are so excited that our pack is back for Season 2 of Dogs,” Berg and Zipper said in a statement. “From the beginning, we have said that the joy shown in Dogs helps bring people together and that same feeling will translate more than ever in Season 2.”

Dogs offers us the ability to explore some of the most important human stories through relationships with our best friends, and it’s been amazing to see how much these episodes have touched audiences and critics across the globe,” they added.

“Most importantly, our fans have become part of our extended family and we are honored to bring them a fresh set of stories that will allow us to connect with them yet again.”
