The TV adaptation of Julia Quinn’s bestselling series of romance novels Bridgerton has rounded out its cast.

Created by Chris Van Dusen and co-produced by Netflix and Shondaland the eight-episode, hourlong drama of the same name is set in the world of Regency London high society. From the glittering ballrooms of Mayfair to the aristocratic palaces of Park Lane and beyond, the series unveils a seductive, sumptuous world replete with intricate rules and dramatic power struggles, where no one is truly ever on steady ground.

At the heart of the show is the powerful Bridgerton family — comprised of eight close-knit siblings. This funny, witty, daring, and clever group must navigate the upper ten thousand’s marriage mart in search of romance, adventure, and love.

Joining Julie Andrews who is set to voice the character of Lady Whistledown are Phoebe Dynevor (Younger) and Regé-Jean Page (For The People) will star as leads alongside Jonathan Bailey ( Broadchurch), Golda Rosheuvel (Silent Witness), Luke Newton (The Lodge), Claudia Jessie (Doctor Who), Nicola Coughlan (Derry Girls), Ruby Barker (Doctors), Sabrina Bartlett (Knightfall), Ruth Gemmell (Deep State), Adjoa Andoh (Thunderbirds Are A Go), and Polly Walker (Pennyworth).

Bridgerton, Shondaland’s first original scripted series for the streaming giant is slated to debut sometime in 2020.
