After four years in the making, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is just a few months away and Marvel finally gave us a taste of things to come, the first trailer for this highly-anticipated sequel premiered at this year’s Comic-Con, where Marvel shared many exciting news about its future projects.

“I am Queen of the most powerful nation in the world, and my entire family is gone,” Angela Bassett’s Ramonda declares in the emotional teaser trailer, as she prepares to fight for Wakanda with the rest of the kingdom’s leaders in the wake of T’Challa death.

This major plot change was made after the actor Chadwick Boseman passed away in 2020, following a private battle with cancer. Writer-director Ryan Coogler and the stars of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever paid homage to the late actors at Comic-Con and looked back at his legacy.

“I promise you, I feel his hand on me right now… Chad’s passion and genius and his culture and the impact he made on this industry will be felt forever,” said Coogler.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is coming to theatres on November 11, as the final film of the MCU’s Phase Four. Its cast will include Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Martin Freeman, and Angela Bassett, and newcomers Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, and Tenoch Huerta.
