“Lucifer” Season 4 Teaser and Premiere Date Revealed by Netflix

Tom Ellis in "Lucifer"

Netflix just revealed that the highly anticipated season four of their fantasy procedural Lucifer will be released on May 8th. The streaming service giant also dropped a short teaser for the upcoming season, which will be 10-episodes long.

Lucifer stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar AKA the Devil himself, who gets bored of hell and ends up coming to Los Angeles where he starts working for LAPD and running his own night club. The series is based on the DC Comics character of the same name.

Despite positive reactions from critics and being well received by the audience, Lucifer was canceled after three seasons on FOX. The fans of the show started a big social media campaign in order to reverse the decision or to have the show moved onto a different network.  This prompted Netflix to step in and pick up the series for season four.

The teaser for the upcoming season doesn’t reveal much as it just shows Lucifer as he emerges from the water after having a dip in the pool. He takes a glass of alcohol and takes a sip while the camera shows us his “666” torso tattoo. The trailer ends with him smiling followed by “He Is Risen” message.

Check out the teaser as well as the synopsis for the fourth season of Lucifer below.

“Reeling from the aftermath of Chloe seeing his devil face, Lucifer faces a new challenge: Eve, the original sinner herself, is back. Does she want revenge for when he tempted her out of Eden oh so many years ago… or something else entirely?”
