The box-office hit starring a stellar cast already has a sequel in the works.
News that a Knives-Out sequel is officially in development was confirmed by writer-director Rian Johnson to The Hollywood Reporter during Lionsgate’s pre-Golden Globes party on Saturday night.
Per the outlet, the filmmaker is already developing a sequel centered on Daniel Craig’s Southern detective Benoit Blanc investigating a new case. Johnson’s producing partner Ram Bergman added, ”Daniel had so much fun doing it, and he wants to do more.”
In addition to Craig, Knives-Out starred a stellar ensemble cast that included Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Christopher Plummer, and Toni Collette.
The $40 million original film has already grossed nearly $250 million worldwide.
