“Killing Eve” Gets Season 4 Renewal

Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer in "Killing Eve"

A fourth season of Killing Eve is officially happening!

BBC America announced Friday that it has renewed its acclaimed assassin drama.

News that the series based on Luke Jennings’ novel series Villanelle has been renewed comes an impressive 3 months before season 3 has dropped.

“How could we not have massive confidence in Killing Eve?” said Sarah Barnett, president of AMC Networks Entertainment. “It has won big in every major award show and is the highest-growing show on US television for six years.”

Executive producer Sally Woodward Gentle added, “It is testament to everyone involved that we have been picked up so early — the magnificent actors, writers, directors, and production team.”

Killing Eve was nominated for 9 Emmys last year, with Comer taking the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series award home.

Season 3 of Killing Eve is scheduled to premiere in the spring.
