Ryan Murphy’s The Prom has added yet another big name to its cast.
Murphy’s upcoming Netflix music-oriented adaptation of the Tony-nominated Broadway musical has added Kerry Washington to its cast.
She joins previously announced Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, Awkwafina, James Corden, Ariana Grande, Keegan-Michael Key, and Andrew Rannells.
According to TVLine, the story centers on four-down-and-out Broadway actors — Streep, Kidman, Corden, and Rannells, who head to Indiana to help a gay teen whose prom was canceled when she tried to bring her girlfriend as her date.
Still no word on Washington’s character.
