Netflix’s adaptation of Daphne Du Maurier’s novel Rebecca has tapped Keeley Hawes and Ann Dowd to join the cast.

The Ben Wheatley-helmed project also added Sam Riley and Ben Crompton to its call sheet.

The four new additions are set to star opposite previously announced Kristin Scott Thomas, Lily James, and Armie Hammer in the gothic thriller.

Wheatley will direct from a script by Kingsman screenwriter Jane Goldman. Earlier versions of the script were penned by Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse.

The story follows a newly married young woman who visits her husband’s imposing family estate on a bleak English coast, where she finds herself battling the shadow of his dead first wife — the mysterious Rebecca — whose legacy continues to haunt the house.

Production is scheduled to begin next week in the UK and France.
