John Krasinski is Still Hoping for “The Office US” to Return

John Krasinski in "The Office"

John Krasinski is hoping for The Office US to return for a comeback season.

The mockumentary ran for nine seasons and aired its final episode in 2013. Speaking with Varietyactor and director John Krasinski has said that he would like the show to return, namely so he can see what his character Jim Halpert is doing now.

“I need the incredible writers of our show to tell me what he’s doing because I’m kind of worried about him,” he said.

“He had a whole lot of hopes and dreams, he had a lot of zany ideas, and then he went to Austin to live his life, and I feel like the dreams are still in his head, so let’s see what he’s doing now.”

Earlier this year, Krasinski expressed interest in a reunion for the show but admitted that he didn’t think it was likely given the cast’s other commitments. He told NME that he was keen for a tenth season: “I’m in, yeah. The truth is what they’re doing with Will & Grace, I don’t think we’d be able to get our [whole] cast together – it’s a big cast – to do another run of the show.”

We hope he is wrong because we’re still curious about what Jim Halpert is up to these days too.
