Jessica Chastain is giving fans a peek at her upcoming spy thriller’s preproduction and filming processes.
The 42-year-old actress also confirmed that after production hit a few bumps, principal photography is officially underway.
The video shared on Instagram Friday by Chastain featured her meeting with director Simon Kinberg in Paris, As the two got in a car Chastain explains how she came up with the idea, “As Simon and I were doing X-Men, I had this idea of doing this female ensemble action film and called all the actresses and we are the studio. Everyone owns the film and now we’re making it.”
355 follows an international group of female spies played by Chastain, Lupita Nyong’o, Penelope Cruz, Diane Kruger, and Fan Bingbing who according to Chastain all own equity in the film. “I love the idea about creating this movie and seeing that these women aren’t just people for hire,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.
355 is slated to be released sometime in 2020.
