HBO Max has greenlit three series from the prolific filmmaker J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robot Productions.

The first series, Overlook, is inspired by and feature iconic characters from Stephen King’s The Shining and will explore the untold, terrifying stories of the most famous haunted hotel in American fiction.

Duster, conceived by Abrams, will center on the life of a gutsy getaway driver for a growing crime syndicate that “goes from awful to wildly, stupidly, dangerously awful,” according to HBO Max.

Little is known of the third DC Justice League Dark show.

“What an amazing start to our association with the wildly imaginative Bad Robot team under JJ and Katie,” Kevin Reilly, HBO Max’s Chief Content Officer, said in a statement. “What could be better than an original JJ idea and then Warner Bros. letting them loose on iconic IP from Stephen King and the DC Universe and to provide more must-have programming on HBO Max.”
