Hulu Renews “Future Man” for Third and Final Season

Josh Hutcherson in "Future Man"

Hulu recently delivered the fans of Future Man good and bad news. The good news is that the series is getting renewed for seasons three. The bad? Well, that third season will also be the show’s last.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the final season of Future Man will consist of eight episodes compared to season two’s 13 episodes. The air date for season three is yet to be revealed.

Future Man premiered in 2017 and focuses on Josh Futturman (Josh Hutcherson), a janitor whose only joy in life is playing his favorite video game Biotic Wars. After completing it, Josh gets a visit from the two main characters of the game, Tiger (Eliza Coupe) and Wolf (Derek Wilson), that tell him that they come from the future where Biotic Wars events turned into reality and that he is the only one who can help them save the world.

The first season of the series met with positive reactions from audiences and received favorable reviews from the critics, who praised the cast’s “compelling chemistry” and the show’s “sense of humor.” Season two, however, was welcomed with a lot less enthusiasm, which might be one of the reasons why Hulu decided to wrap up the story of the show.
