Don Cheadle Joins “Space Jam 2”

Don Cheadle joins LeBron James in Warner Bros’ sequel Space Jam 2.

The Ocean’s Eleven’s alum and Avengers: Endgame star has been cast in the sequel to the 1996 hit, that starred Michael Jordan and featured cameos from a number of NBA all-stars who starred alongside classic Looney Tunes characters. 

The film, which is currently in production, also stars Sonequa Martin-Green and NBA superstars Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis, and Klay Thompson.

The original was a major hit grossing over $230M at the global box office. 

No further details are known of Cheadle’s character.

Cheadle currently stars in the 1980s-set Showtime comedy Black Monday.

The reboot directed by Terence Nance opens in theaters July 16, 2021.
