Disney’s Aladdin Gets an Encouraging First Full Trailer

When Disney presented the teaser trailer for their upcoming live-action adaptation of animated movie Aladdin, they didn’t get the response they hoped for. The teaser met with a significant backlash with most criticism being aimed towards Will Smith and his portrayal of Genie. But, it turns out that things might be different than they seemed at first.

The studio recently released the first full-length trailer for Aladdin, finally giving us a better look at the movie and sparking lots of positive buzz. If we are to judge by the trailer, the movie will be everything we could ask and more including breathtaking visuals, charming moments between Aladdin and Princess Jasmine, and some great Genie humor.

The upcoming Aladdin movie is part of Disney’s efforts to offer their fans live-action versions of beloved animated classics. The movie was directed by Guy Ritchie and stars Will Smith as Genie, Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine, and Marwan Kenzari as Jafar. It is set for release on May 24, 2019.
