Daniel Craig to Undergo Surgery After “Bond 25” Injury

After sustaining an injury to his ankle during filming, Daniel Craig will undergo surgery. 

The news was announced via the franchise’s official Twitter on Wednesday.

“Daniel Craig will be undergoing minor ankle surgery resulting from an injury sustained during filming in Jamaica,” the official announcement read. “Production will continue whilst Craig is rehabilitating for two weeks post-surgery. The film remains on track for the same release date in April 2020.”

According to sources, the 51-year-old actor injured himself while sprinting on set. 

“He was sprinting during filming when he slipped and fell quite awkwardly,” a source told the Sun. “He was in quite a lot of pain and was complaining about his ankle.”

The still-untitled feature is directed by Cary Fukunaga. It co-stars Rami Malek, Ana De Armas, Lashana Lynch, David Dencik, Billy Magnussen, Dali Benssalah, Lea Seydoux, Jeffrey Wright, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Naomie Harris, and Ralph Fiennes.
