Chris Pine is in talks to star as the lead in Paramount Pictures’ reboot of The Saint.
Variety confirms that Pine is in negotiations to star in the studio’s remake the film based on a 1920s book series of the same name by Leslie Charteris.
The reboot will be directed by Rocketman helmer Dexter Fletcher. Fletcher has other projects in development including the pic Renfield at Universal. But due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic shutting down almost all productions, it’s unknown when The Saint will actually happen or any other project for that matter.
The book series was previously made into a 1960s TV show starring Roger Moore, and a feature film in 1997 starring Val Kilmer.
