The teen-centered sitcom that made history is coming to an end.

Season 3 of Disney’s Andi Mack will be its last. The sitcom, currently on hiatus, will return with its final episodes beginning June 21.

Andi Mack centers on 13-year-old Andi (Peyton Elizabeth Lee), whose world is rocked when she finds out that her older sister Bex (Lilan Bowden) is actually her mother. It also chronicles Andi’s interactions with her two best friends, Cyrus (Joshua Rush) and Buffy (Sofia Wylie).

The sitcom made history featuring Disney Channel’s first coming story.

Andi Mack was a labor of love for a room of impassioned, inventive writers, a talented and dedicated crew, and an extraordinary, miraculous cast who inspired us all,” said Minsky in a statement Wednesday. “We had the honor of breaking a lot of new ground for Disney Channel. We were its first serialized show, its first series centered around an Asian-American family and its first to feature an LGBTQ character who spoke the words, ‘I’m gay.’”

Andi Mack airs every Friday on Disney Channel, with the series finale scheduled to air July 26.
