And Just Like That… became one of the most popular Max originals since its premiere two years ago, and they’re not letting go of it anytime soon. The streaming giant renewed the S-x and the City revival for its next chapter ahead of this week’s Season 2 finale.
And Just Like That… ranks as the No. 1 Max original overall and is the most-watched returning Max original to date, according to the streamer’s head of content Sarah Aubrey. She said that they cannot wait for audiences to see where Season 3 will take our favorite New Yorkers, and praised the creator Michael Patrick King for bringing this series to life.
And Just Like That… sees Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon return to their lead roles from S-x and the City and catches up with their characters in their 50s. Season 2 opens with Carrie trying to overcome her pain after losing Mr. Big, while Charlotte and Miranda are both on their own journey of self-discovery.
Season 2 of And Just Like That… also stars John Corbett, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Sara Ramirez, Sarita Choudhury, and Nicole Ari Parker. Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones in S-x and the City, isn’t a part of the show’s main cast, but she’s expected to make a brief cameo in the Season 2 finale on August 24.
