The Hairspray director is set to helm the Hocus Pocus sequel.
Multiple outlets confirm that Adam Shankman will direct the sequel to the popular Halloween set at Disney’s streaming service, Disney+. Workaholics writer and co-producer Jen D’Angelo penned the screenplay.
The sequel to the 1993 cult hit starred Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy. The original stars, however, are not attached to the sequel, but Disney is hopeful that they will become involved in some capacity.
Shankman is currently in pre-production on Disney’s Enchanted sequel.
