Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy Liu in "Charlie's Angels"
The line-up for the Charlie’s Angels reboot has been confirmed, and it is fabulous.
Talented Pitch Perfect star Elizabeth Banks is directing the reboot. She also co-wrote the screenplay with Jay Basu. On top of this, Banks is also set to play the detective agency’s owner, Bosley.
The new trio of Angels will include Twilight star Kristen Stewart, Power Rangers’ Naomi Scott and rising star Ella Balinska.
The reboot will take the detective agency global, with teams of agents working all over the world.
“Charlie’s Angels, for me, is one of the original brands to celebrate the empowered woman since its debut in the ’70s,” Elizabeth Banks announced.
“This film honors the legacy of Charles Townsend and his agency while introducing a new era of modern and global Angels. I couldn’t be more excited to work with Kristen, Naomi and Ella to bring this chapter to fans around the world.”
The new Charlie’s Angels is scheduled for release September 27th, 2019.
