Luke Evans and Josh Gad are set to reprise their roles as Gaston and LeFou in a Beauty and the Beast prequel series.
The musical event from Once Upon A Time creators Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz is in development at Disney+. The duo will serve as co-writers and showrunners on the project. They will also executive produce with Gad, who will also serve as co-writer on the project.
The still-untitled six-episode series is said to be set many years before the time period of the feature film.
The 2017 live-action adaptation of the animated classic film was directed by Bill Condon and starred Emma Watson and Dan Stevens in the lead roles. The film grossed more than $1 billion at the global box office.
