The first trailer for Sacha Baron Cohen’s The Spy is here.

The comedy king gets serious for his role as a real-life Israeli Mossad agent in Netflix’s forthcoming limited series.

The six-part miniseries from Gideon Raff (Homeland) tells the story of Eli Cohen, a 1960s agent who infiltrated Syria, became the Deputy Minister of Defense, and played key role in aiding his homeland during the 1967 Six-Day War from deep behind enemy lines.

Years into his clandestine mission, leading a double life takes its toll, with Cohen admitting in the trailer that taking off his persona’s clothes doesn’t work anymore: “I can’t put him away.”

Noah Emmerich stars as Eli’s handler, Hadar Ratzon Rotem plays Eli’s wife Nadia, Waleed Zuaiter takes on the role of Amin Al-Hafez, Eli’s ally.
