Top 5 “Hannibal” Murders

Mads Mikkelsen in "Hannibal"

HannibalĀ is filled with intricate story lines and some of TV’s best writing. What must not be left out, however, is the brilliant bloody murders that are as entertaining as they are horrifying. Here are 5 of the best.

Human Cello: Season 1, Episode 8

The Cello murder is a credit to the creativity of the writers of the show. The psychopath responsible had a mind somewhat akin to Hannibal’s, only he did not wish to eat his victims… he wished to play them.

Mushroom Murders: Season 1, Episode 2

There is something gruesomely artistic about the corpses buried in the ground, becoming fertilizer to grow mushrooms. What is horrifying about these murders is that one of the corpses is still alive.

The Human Mural: Season 2, Episode 2

This is a murder which really stands out as disturbing. Roland Umber wakes up to discover that his naked body has been sewn into a human mural of other bodies. It’s shocking.

Angel Wings: Season 1, Episode 5

The murderer in this episode slices open the backs of his victims to create ‘angels’ to watch over him while he sleeps. It looks awfully painful.

Human Totem Pole: Season 1, Episode 9

The totem pole murder is another one which really stands out. The murderer uses 17 bodies to create a human totem pole. It’s as imaginative as it is horrific.
