The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis

This charming Christmas episode revolves around Sheldon’s hatred of the gift giving tradition and his struggle trying to find an appropriate gift for Penny. He buys her bath items of all different sizes so that he can pick one which suits the gift she gives him. When he receives his gift from Penny, a signed and used napkin by Leonard Nemoy, he is so overwhelmed that he gives her all of them followed by an awkward but beautiful hug.

The Staircase Implementation

In this episode we learn how Sheldon and Leonard became roommates. We also learn how the elevator came to be out of order and it turns out Sheldon saved Leonard’s life. The episode has received 9.1 on IMDB.

The Barbarian Sublimation

Sheldon gets Penney addicted to online gaming and things escalate pretty quickly. It takes not finding a cheeto in her hair, but agreeing to a virtual date with Howard’s virtual online character to make her realize that things have gotten out of hand.

The Lunar Excitation

This is the episode when Sheldon meets Amy Farrah Fowler. Howard and Raj sign Sheldon up to a dating website without his knowing and end up accidentally pairing up with Amy, who hates dating as much as Sheldon and only agreed to go on the date to please her mother.

The Adhesive Duck Deficiency

The gang get stoned in a desert and Sheldon becomes Penny’s only option to help her out when she dislocates her shoulder in the bath tub. The scene when Sheldon sings Penney “Soft Kitty” is one of the most endearing moments of the series.
