In sci-fi movies, robots are either trying to take over the world or are being so darn cute that we can’t help but fall in love with them, even if it’s against our best interest. Robots aren’t supposed to feel emotion but these ten robots deserve credit for their fantastic personalities.

Marvin the Paranoid Android (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy)

Marvin the Paranoid Android is one of the best characters in the film. Radiohead must have thought so too, because they wrote one of their biggest hits about him.

Nexus-6 Pris (Blade Runner)

The blond and gothy Pris from Scott Ridley’s original Blade Runner is cool, badass and well, lethal.

Ultron (Avengers: Age of Ultron)

The deadly robot Ultron in the Marvel Cinematic Universe makes quite the villain.

Bender (Futurama)

Bender has a terrible attitude, but he is hilarious, so we’ll let him on the list.

Wall-E (Wall-E)

Wall-E has got to be the most lovable robot (who doesn’t really say anything) of all time. And he saved the human race, so that’s good too.

Terminator (Terminator)

Terminator is one of the most awesome looking robots we can think of.

Data (Star Trek)

Does Data feel love?

Bumblebee (Transformers)

The Transformers franchise went downhill pretty rapidly, but Bumblebee still remains one of our top bots.

R2-D2 and C3PO (Star Wars)

Well, obviously.

K-9 (Doctor Who)

The only thing in sci-fi better than a friendly robot, is a friendly robot dog.

WWE Wrestler John Cena has revealed that he enjoyed filming for the Transformers spin-off Bumblebee.

The Wrestling icon has landed a major role in the movie and will star alongside Hailee Steinfeld.

The film is set in the year 1987 and features Steinfeld playing the character of Charlie, a young soon to be 18-year-old woman who discovers Bumblebee in a battered state.

However, she soon discovers what it is capable of.

The movie will be produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Michael Bay- the two men who directed the last five Transformers movies, along with executive producers Steven Spielberg, Brian Goldner, Mark Vahradian and Chris Brigham.

Cena said: “You have to be dramatic with a stick. In the WWE, we call it working with a broomstick. You can get in there and have a match with a broomstick. I think it’s just a different method to tell stories. That’s what I enjoy most. Do I love to laugh? Yes! But what I enjoy most is to be able to use your imagination to tell a story. So, it was a different challenge, but I loved it. I hope everybody sees that and they dig it.”

If recent reports are to be believed, Transformers 6 will not be released in 2019 as was originally planned.

Following disappointing returns from Transformers: The Last Knight, that collected a disappointing return of just $605.4 million, which was the lowest in the series which had up till that point been hovering around the $1 billion mark – director Michael Bay has departed from the role of director and it now seems like Paramount and Hasbro are considering restructuring the movies.

TWF2005 stated: “a new team at Paramount will reset the Transformers Live-Action Movie Series following the release of Bumblebee: The Movie”. This news has come to light at the Toy Fair 2018 Hasbro Investor Preview, and is also as a consequence of Hasbro exerting more control over the movie takes on its toys.

This most likely means that the planned 2019 release date for Transformers 6 has been abandoned and we will unlikely get whatever Transformers 6 morphs into until 2021 at the latest.
