]]>In the Marvel flick, Holland stars as the titular superhero while Gyllenhaal takes on the role of the infamous Marvel villain, Mysterio. The trouble is, the pair of actors got on so well that it actually slowed things down on set.
The director of the feature Jon Watts explained that the pair were always making each other laugh. He told Entertainment Weekly: “Sometimes they would crack each other up, and we could not get through takes occasionally.”
Holland then explained that he had a bro-crush on Gyllenhaal before they even met on set.
“If you look at any interview I’ve ever done prior to this movie and someone asked me, ‘Who would you work with if you could work with any actor?’ I would’ve said Jake Gyllenhaal,” Holland confessed.
“And when I found out it was him, I was stoked, but also really nervous. But Jake absolutely was more than I ever could have expected.”
Spider-Man: Far From Home is out in movie theaters July 2.

]]>Tom Holland’s sequel as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man will see the Avenger team up with Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio. The legendary Nick Fury will also be jumping on board to save the day.
The trailer reveals that “Far From Home” is not some faraway alien galaxy, but simply refers to the continent across the pond, Europe. The trailer shows Spider-Man swinging through the picturesque streets of Venice as well as saving citizens in London. All of this happens just moments after the epic war between the Avengers and Thanos concludes in the upcoming Avengers: Endgame.
We also see a relationship begin to develop between Peter Parker and Zendaya’s rendition of Mary Jane Watson. When Peter calls her “pretty,” she quips: “Therefore I have value?” So basically, if you thought Kristen Dunst’s MJ was a little too damsel-in-distress for your liking, Zendaya’s MJ will be the opposite.

The introduction of Captain Marvel to the Avengers team will surely spell trouble for Thanos in the second part of Infinity War. First though, we’ll be introduced to her origin story in Brie Larson’s debut as the titular superhero.
DC’s first movie of the year will be much lighter than the others, but may struggle in the box-office as it goes up against…
The Hellboy reboot will be R-rated and will see David Harbour as the titular character.
The superhero event of the year has got to be part 4 of the Avengers movies. The finale will see the remaining Avengers, alongside Captain Marvel, join forces to take down Thanos.
Dark Phoenix will be the last X-Men movie in the franchise of younger X-Men. The film will center around Jean Grey and should be an exciting close to the series.
After all the excitement from the Avengers, life will go on with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man returning to screens for his sequel.
The New Mutants was pushed back a year, but after the trailer dropped in October 2017, we’ve been quite excited about this flick. The feature will introduce a new generation of mutants and will transform the superhero genre into something far more spooky.
With more superhero movies coming out this year than ever before, we’re definitely ready for everyone’s favourite supervillain to get his own movie, The Joker.
