During her ten-year tenure on SNL, McKinnon made it clear she’s a movie star in the making and starred in Ghostbusters, The Spy Who Dumped Me, and Bombshell. She said “Live From New York, It’s Saturday Night Live” for one last time in the popular sketch Close Encounter.
Bryant joined SNL in 2012, just like McKinnon, and starred in Hulu comedy Shrill along the way. She said goodbye in the Weekend Update skit alongside Bowen Yang and appeared in several more sketches throughout the show.
Mooney never reached the same level of fame as the previous three stars, but his quirky characters were a welcomed addition to SNL. He said goodbye in a “9 to 5” parody alongside the SNL veteran Fred Armisen.

]]>According to live-plus-same-day “fast official” ratings from Nielsen Media Research, the latest episode of SNL, which saw the return of Murphy as host, earned the show’s biggest ratings in two and a half years. The show delivered a 2.5 rating in adults 18-49 and 9.921 million viewers overall in Live+Same Day.
Joining Murphy who returned to the live comedy show after more than two decades, was Lizzo as the musical guest. It also featured appearances by Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Tracy Morgan, Alec Baldwin, Larry David, Maya Rudolph, Jason Sudeikis, Fred Armisen, and Rachel Dratch.
The last installment to hold the title of highest-scoring and the most-viewed episode of SNL was a May 2017 episode hosted by Melissa McCarthy with musical guest HAIM. That episode averaged a 2.7 rating in adults 18-49 and attracted 10.382 million viewers overall.

]]>The Saturday Night Live star announced that she will headline an hour-long stand-up comedy special Thursday on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!
“I am doing a Netflix special,” she excitedly announced to Kimmel. “So ya’ll finally get to see what I really do.” She also reminded fans that while “it’s great to be an actress” she’s “actually a stand-up, hardcore. That’s what pay the bills.”
Jones joins hour-long special follows the streamer’s roster that includes Best Time of Our Lives with Adam Devine, Live: Your Welcome with Miranda Sings, Son of Patricia with Trevor Noah, Homecoming King with Hasan Minhaj, Growing with Amy Schumer, Make Happy with Bo Burnham, and Noble Ape with Jim Gaffigan.
Producing is Jesse Collins Entertainment. The comedy special is set to launch globally on Netflix in 2020.
