]]>This live-action adaptation of Disney’s 1937 animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, puts a new twist on the classic tale of a young princess who finds her chosen family in a group of the Seven Dwarfs living in the woods after being exiled from her home by her evil stepmother.
Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot lead the cast of this live-action remake, and they presented the first teaser trailer at Disney’s D23 Expo this past weekend. Zegler got to show off her singing abilities in the teaser and put her twist on the original song “Whistle While You Work”.
Andrew Burnap as Jonathan, Ansu Kabia as the Huntsman, Dujonna Gift as Maple, Martin Klebba as Grumpy, and Colin Michael Carmichael are also a part of the show’s supporting cast. Disney made a controversial choice to use CGI to bring the Seven Dwarfs to life, and they’re yet to cast the majority of voice actors in these roles.
Snow White will hit the theaters on March 21, 2025, after facing several major delays.

]]>This project serves as the prequel to the popular The Hunger Games franchise, and it shifts focus to the 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow. He ruled Panem with an iron fist during his time as the president and was played by Donald Sutherland in the original films.
Tom Blyth is set to replace Sutherland in the role of the young Snow, and Zegler is joining him as Lucy Gray Baird. She’s a tribute from impoverished District 12, who managed to impress all of Capitol with her singing at the reaping ceremony and is set to be mentored by Snow.
The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is only the latest on the long list of projects that Zegler is working on right now. Following the success of her Golden Globe-nominated role in West Side Story, she’s set to appear in Shazam! Fury of the Gods and play the titular role in Disney’s live-action adaptation of the animated classic Snow White.
