]]>Multiple outlets confirm that Travolta has been cast to star in the comedy-action series Die Hart opposite Kevin Hart.
In Die Hart, Hart plays a fictionalized version of himself, someone who’s tired of being the comedic sidekick. A famous director offers him the shot to be the lead in an action movie, but there’s a catch: Kevin first must train at the world’s greatest action-star school, which is run by a lunatic (Travolta). Pushed to his limits by the coach and a tough-minded rival student, Kevin must survive a series of over-the-top action sequences and face his fears if he wants to achieve his dream and land the role of a lifetime.
Die Hart is the first time Travolta will return to television folioing his American Crime Story role.

Hart will produce the project via his HartBeat Productions and, according to the outlet, will likely star in the feature.
Being in very early stages of development, the search for a writer is currently on.
The original was directed by Richard Donner. It was a modern-day retelling of the Charles Dickens novel that followed a greedy TV executive (Murray) who is visited by three ghosts in an effort to regain his Christmas spirit. The original also starred Karen Allen, Bobcat Goldthwait and Robert Mitchum.
Hart is currently one of the voice stars of The Secret Life of Pets 2. You can see him next in the sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, which is slated to arrive in theaters in December.
