So many times the music is what makes the movie. Some films have an iconic soundtrack, that can actually steal the show. We created a list of best movie soundtracks ever. Here they are:

10. Romeo and Juliet

Radiohead’s Talk Show Host and the general ’90s feel puts Baz Lurhman’s adaption up there.

9. Diary of a Teenage Girl

T Rex, Television… need I go on?

8. Perks of Being a Wallflower

The iconic moment where Bowie’s Heroes plays wen they drive through the tunnel and into the city.

7. Donnie Darko

Joy Division, Echo and the Bunnymen etc etc.

6. The Breakfast Club

Purely for the “Simple Minds” track during that iconic, heart warming final scene.

5. Guardians of the Galaxy (Vol 1)

There are so many bangers on Star-Lord’s mix tape. We’re not surprised he is so attached to his Walkman.

4. Dazed and Confused

Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath, ZZ Top. The soundtrack is as nostalgic of high school as the movie.

3. Watchmen

Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan… not to mention Leonard Cohen and Nat King Cole.

2. Reservoir Dogs

Purely for the iconic torture scene, uncanningly staged to Stealer’s Wheels “Stuck in the Middle with You.”

1. Trainspotting

Lou Reed, Blur, Primal Scream.. Everyone has a track favorite from Danny Boyle’s Trainspotting (1996). If you haven’t danced around your living room belting Iggy Pop’s “Lust for Life” yet, we recommend you do so now.

Academy Award-nominated movie Get Out, written and directed by Jordan Peele, is returning to select AMC theaters across the United States for a free screening on President’s Day, February 19th, 2018.

Get Out stars Daniel Kaluuya as Chris Washington, an African American photographer, who is about to meet his girlfriend’s (Played by Allison Williams) family. What seems at first like a friendly encounter with her family turns into a living nightmare.

One of the main reasons Get Out was so popular in theaters one year ago was because of the controversial subject matter. Get Out deals with racism in contemporary America.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Jordan Peele and Universal Pictures decided to give audiences a free screening in order to say “thank you” for making the movie a success.

Tickets for the free screening can only be picked up on President’s Day.

Del Toro’s new film The Shape of Water is being recognized by fans and critics as a genuinely heart-warming masterpiece and it looks like it might be in the running to win an Oscar.

We already know that Del Toro has a love of monsters, but this time the monster is not there for the appeal of hardcore horror fans, but instead presents something of a love interest for the unlikely leading lady, Elisa (Sally Hawkins).

Del Toro wrote the script with Hawkins in mind to play the lead and her performance does not disappoint. She captures the character exquisitely well and gives what could quite possibly be the most heartfelt speech of the year so far, only she does it without saying a single word. The fact that Elisa is mute does not inhibit Hawkins but instead inspired her to give an incredible performance which critics are likening to that of a timeless silent-movie star.

Naturally, the cinematography is hauntingly beautiful and the movie leaves its audience with a sincere, human message of love and acceptance. Regardless of how you feel about the fantasy genre, there is something in this movie for everyone. Will it win an Oscar? It is hard to say because, despite its merits, the niche and bizarre nature of the movie might present a challenge. Either way, it is absolutely worth a watch.
